Hey everyone. I'd just like to thank all of you that came out to the Golden Rail show on Friday night and a special thanks to One Trip Garden for inviting me out. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures but I'll definitely make a better effort next time. I had a great time up in Newburgh and I can't wait to do it again so with that said, I'm pleased to announce that I'll be supporting OTG on March 20th in Portland, CT at The Soaring Eagle. More details about that and other shows in the city are forthcoming so stay tuned.

Greetings everybody. So they say that recording music is always a learning experience and this new recording of a rather old tune entitled Simpler has certainly been more of a learning experience than I could ever have imagined. It's the first time I've ever tried to contend with instruments other than just an acoustic guitar while recording solo stuff. This is also the first time I've ever programmed drums, played bass on a track, engineered and mixed a full "band" and I've fought all of these elements for nearly 4 days straight. And now, I can't wait to do it again. Music is amazing in that way.
And just as a reminder, I'll be performing solo this Friday night supporting One Trip Garden in Newburgh, NY at the Golden Rail. More details about this show are listed on my shows page.
I hope you enjoy the new tune (which may undergo some remixing here and there so check back) and I'll see you all very soon. - josh

So, while you're waiting for your very own copy of the Farm Aid 2003 DVD to arrive in the mail, this should hold you over.......
The video from that performance is now available in my video section.
Also, the show on 1.31.04, where I was to be supporting oNE tRIp GaRden at Legends in Harriman, NY has been cancelled but a new show has already been rescheduled. Are we on it or what? The new show is on 2.13.04 at the Golden Rail Ale House in Newburgh, NY. Good times....good times indeed.

Hey everybody. Loads of new news. The Farm Aid 2003 Concert DVD has been released and it features the performance by Aaron Brotherton and myself from that show. To purchase the DVD which features brilliant performances by such artists as Dave Matthews, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and a number of others, click here. Also, I hope to have a Quicktime movie of that performance on this site in a few days so check back. There are a few new photos on the photo page as well. The first is from the Sirius Satellite Radio session after the live broadcast. If you haven't checked out the recordings from that show, click here. The second picture is one I found with myself and guitar legend Les Paul after his set at Iridium in NYC. I'm extremely excited to let everyone know that Aaron and I will be traveling to Buckfield, ME to chat with and perform at Buckfield Jr./Sr. High School on 12.18-19.03. This is the second year in a row that I get to hang out with everyone there and I can't wait. On 1.31.04, I'll be supporting oNE tRIp GaRden at Legends in Harriman, NY. It's been a billion years since I've played in that part of the world so I'm really looking forward to it. More shows and music in the coming weeks and months to be certain so please pop back every now and again.

Hey everyone. It's raining and it's about 1am here in NYC. What better time to post a new sad song? It's called "We Are Alone". I'll have more news in a day or so but right now I've got to get some sleep. Talk to you soon. Enjoy.

Happy Halloween. I've got a few items of notable mention. First, Aaron and I recently played a live session at Sirius Satellite Radio here in NYC. Thanks to everyone at Sirius for their support and a special thanks to Rell Lafargue for sitting in on percussion for that show. Rebroadcasts of that performance will air periodically on Sirius Sessions (Stream 100) and mp3s of a few of the songs can be found in my audio section. Second, I'd like to thank Berklee for asking me to play their singer/songwriter night this past Sunday @ the Living Room in NYC. It's never easy to play for a room full of musicians but everyone was incredibly warm and receptive. Thanks to all that came out.
