I'm finally lucid enough (well, at least that's what the pain pills are leading me to believe…haha) to compose a thank you note to everyone that has called, sent notes, "liked" my Facebook status and sent positive thoughts. Thanks so much everybody. I can't even begin to express how much it means to me. I'm an unbelievably lucky guy to have such amazing family and friends.
While I was really nervous and stressed out about having this operation, it's now very clear that I needed my gallbladder out. The semi-short version of the story is that apparently it wasn't functioning properly for years according to the surgeon's assessment and it was starting to fuse to the other organs and internal bits surrounding it. I must say that it's a relief to finally know what has been bothering me all this time. Oh, I forgot to mention that after asking all the doctors and nurses involved in my day yesterday, none of them would allow me to keep it :( Sorry to disappoint those of you that are as twisted as I am but I'm sure it's living on a farm somewhere with a nice family.
Today, I'm still incredibly sore (I'm not nearly as invincible as I thought I was) and I'm moving about as fast as bingo night at the old folks home. Bean is taking great care of me and I'm going to do everything possible to make sure I heal properly and not jeopardize my recovery. So, with all that pain medication induced rambling finally coming to a close, I love you guys and I hope to see all of you again soon!!
